Update on April 17:

• Projection presentation: we change the project presentation from mandatory to optional. Any volunteering team to present shall email both Joan and Lei before April 26. There will be extra credits for the volunteering teams in the project evaluation.
• The presentation is scheduled at the lecture of May 1st for now. If you would like to present on a different day, please also send us an email and hopefully we can use the recitation of May 3rd.
• The presentation is free of time limit and styles.
  • The presentation can be with slides or by writing on blackboard.
• The email (before April 26) shall include:
  • names of team member(s): we consider equal credits to all members.
  • whether your team is available on May 1st and 3rd: the 3rd is used as a backup plan.
  • a good estimation of the upper-bound time of your presentation: so that we can schedule all presentations in the lecture.
• The schedule will be confirmed on April 29.
• Remind that the deadline of submitting the final report is 23:59 (ET) May 10th. The submission is on Brightspace, with the same process of the abstract - one submission with all members’ names is enough.

• Once you have found your teammates and chosen a topic, please kindly sign up your team in the following spreadsheet:

• You are welcome to list the topic of your interest for others to join, if you haven’t found them. In this case, you can fill the empty entries with WAITING placeholders.
• To look for a teammate, you are welcome to use chatroom #final-project on Campuswire.

We will use this spreadsheet to organize the presentation. (The ordering will be randomly permuted.)

Deadline

• Abstract Submission (Brightspace→Assignment): Mar 20th. A one-page pdf proposal that explains your approach to your chosen topic, and the questions you are planning to develop, along with a list of tentative bibliography. The reference list is not included in the page limit. After this deadline, the list of team members cannot be altered any more, but if necessary the topic can be modified after emailing both Joan and Lei with the new one-page proposal for feedback and agreement.
• S~~mall Presentation: May 1st & 3rd. We ask you to prepare a small presentation (TBD…, depending on the number of projects) of your project. This will take place at our last lecture and recitation. We will make a further announcement of the presentation schedule before mid April.~~
• Project Submission (Brightspace→Assignment): May 10th. Please see the instructions below.
• Auditing students do not need to submit anything above. You are welcome to audit the final presentations.
